Dining Ruttger's Style

The resort is in full swing this week with Family Value Days! There are lots of happy kids enjoying the beach, pool, and the many activities that are going on throughout the resort.

As I was sitting in Ruby's Dining Room the other day going over that evening's reservations, I stopped and looked out the window at Bay Lake. The bay was like glass with two loons swimming out in the middle. I thought to myself that we have three excellent places to eat Ruby's, the Bear Pine Bar, and Zig's - all with spectacular views. There is truly something special about enjoying your favorite beverage or meal while looking out over the water. Whether you're dining inside or sitting under an umbrella on one of our decks, you will not have a better atmosphere than you will have here at Ruttger's in one of our restaurants.

So order your beverage, take in nature's surroundings, and forget about that everyday stress! Relax, you're at Ruttger's!

A Word from the Pro

More golf course news from the Pro, Greg Snow.

I was working behind the counter last night. I rang up a gentleman at about 6pm, and charged him the regular fee for an adult and a junior. He then proceeded to say to me, “Don’t we get the Junior Monday special?” Wow, what a rookie mistake on my part. I had totally forgotten about the Junior Mondays and quickly had to apologize, correct the fees, and get him out on the course. This chain of events led me to think we have got to get the word out. If the Golf Professional forgot, then how many other people either forgot, or just don’t know about this promotion?

So here it is:

Junior Mondays – every Monday, Labor Day included – juniors 17 and under can play golf on the Alec’s Nine for $5.00. That’s right: two cheeseburgers, a small fry and a Hi-C orange drink at McDonald’s. If accompanied by an adult, the adult will get ½ price off the regular rate, which is then only $8.50! You and your son or daughter can play golf at Ruttger’s on Mondays for a grand total of $14 plus tax! If you want 2 hours of uninterrupted father/son, mother/daughter or grandpa/grandson time or any combination of the aforementioned, look at Mondays at Ruttger’s. To look at it from another perspective, if you wanted to take your child to the Transformers movie you’d end up paying $8 for an adult ticket, $6 for a child ticket, and $8.50 for the popcorn & pop combo. You are looking at $22 or $23 bucks minimum for 2 hours with them, and if you even think about breathing a word of conversation you will get shushed by the couple behind you for being too loud. Don’t take the risk of being shushed (unless your son has a 3-footer for par in which case you probably should get shushed) and make your next family outing a fun, conversation filled round of golf on Alec’s Nine at Ruttger’s.

And don’t forget about Senior Tuesday! $26 includes cart for 18 holes on The Lakes!
